General Pediatricians
In need of adventurous pediatricians who wish to work with a diverse population in a community hospital serving the beautiful Pacific island of Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands.
The Positions
- We currently have openings for Inpatient and Outpatient pediatricians (or MD/DOs willing to do both)
- Permanent contracts (1 year or more) preferred, but will consider locums for 3–11 months. New graduates are welcome to apply.
- Must have completed a pediatric residency, PALS/NRP, and be BC/BE
Clinical Duties
- Inpatient service covers call and the daily management of NICU, nursery and the pediatrics floor patients, as well as the rare pediatric ICU patient
- Clinic providers see a broad range of patients, including some with complex medical problems
- 30-minute appointments for regular patients, 1 hour for complicated patients
- No peds subspecialists on island, but we have a close working relationship with a major referral hospital which accepts transfers and gives management advice
- Specialist support from general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, OB/Gyn, anesthesia, and respiratory therapy
- In-house lab, blood bank and radiology (US, CT, general radiology)
